An Assortment of American Goodies

If you had the opportunity, in the middle of a 210-day stay in Europe, to swing by home and pick up a few things, what would you take? There are a lot of things you might never realize are exclusively American, and I found myself with an interesting opportunity to grab some of these things and share them with my Italian friends. So here’s what I took home:

  • 5 jars of crunchy peanut butter
  • A jar of grape jelly
  • A jar of raspberry jelly
  • Lots of gum
  • 2 four-packs of Stewart’s root beer
  • A four-pack of Stewart’s cream soda
  • Pumpkin walnut bread mix
  • Pumpkin scented hand soap in a Halloween-themed dispenser
  • A pumpkin-scented candle in a pumpkin-shaped terra cotta jar (sensing a theme, here?)
  • Godiva chocolates
  • Godiva chocolate-covered dried raspberries
  • Reese’s peanut butter cups
  • 2 Starbucks travel mugs
  • Some American cash
  • 2 jars of cranberry sauce (for our Thanksgiving feast!)
  • Bath and Body Works stuff
  • Aloe-filled pink and blue socks (Thanks, Aunt Annie!)
